Sam has been a lawyer since 2016, specialising in property law the whole time.

Growing up on a farm in the Wairarapa, he moved to Dunedin for university, where he got involved with his hockey club, which has led to various roles on committees and boards. 

Sam lives on the south coast of Wellington with his partner Carl, and stays busy by managing a hockey team and chairing three charities, including Nuku Ora and Rainbow Wellington.
